Peter Briger is a San-Franciscan-based financial expert and holds the Co-Chairman position at a private equity firm in New York, Fortress Investment Group. With his expertise in asset management for more than twenty years, Mr. Peter has undertaken various management roles at Fortress Investment Group since 2002. Mr. Peter’s current role at Fortress Group is to manage the company’s credit fund and real estate business. Fortress Investment Group is a publicly held asset management firm that serves institutional and private investors and is currently managing assets worth more than 65 billion dollars. Peter Briger was made Co-chairman at Fortress Group in 2009 and has since made his name by overseeing the company’s growth and success. As a graduate of Princeton University, Mr. Peter is a highly qualified business leader and expert in asset management.

Before joining Fortress Group, Mr. Peter was made partner at Goldman Sachs, where he was in charge of the company’s business operations. Peter Briger has also assisted in division management at Goldman Sachs Special Opportunities Fund and the Asian Distressed Debt organization. After graduating from Princeton University, Peter joined Pennsylvania University Wharton School of Business to pursue a master’s degree in Business Administration.

Peter Briger has served on several committees in his career life, including the Asian Management Committee and Global Compliance Committee. Mr. Peter is also serving on the Hospital for Special Surgery Fund for Children and the Princeton University Investment Company board. One of the biggest achievements for the Fortress Group and Peter Briger was the acquisition of the SoftBank organization.

Peter and the Fortress Group acquired SoftBank in 2018 to dive their way into the tech industry. The tech industry is currently on the Fortress Group’s portfolio. Another big win for Mr. Peter and the company was purchasing the Tiffany & Co retail company. The Fortress Group is also now working in the retail industry.
