Vik Bansal is the Chief Executive Officer and managing director of InfraBuild which is an Australian integrated steel manufacturing and recycling company. This company recently shared its financial results for mid year and marked all financial metrics with improvement. Vik Bansal InfraBuild pointed out that all segments have strong volumes showing growth and safety is progressing from being good to great. When comparing net revenue to the previous mid year of 2021, mid year 2022 has shown a 41 percent increase reaching upwards to $AUD2.94 billion. There were improvements in the TRIFR (Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate) being up by 24 percent along with a 7 percent increase in volumes. Moreover, there was a 109 increase in the EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) and the margin of EBITDA was up by 345 basis points.

In addition, the EBIT alone saw a 191 percentage increase with an improved margin of 433 basis points. Yes, all of this and more reflects the strong undeniable impact of Vik Bansal on InfraBuild since being in the role of CEO from July 2021 to date which is actually pretty much a short period of time. However, one should not be surprised that Bansal made such strides given the fact that he has a record of leading companies to significant growth. Bansal’s range of high roles in executive positions has included places in the United States, Asia and Australia; not to mention, he worked about 6 years steering Australia’s largest waste management company, Cleanaway, to great growth. But, most of all, he spent three years as general manager of OneSteel which is now InfraBuild where he was responsible for metal processing and steel distribution services. One could conclude that Vik Bansal would be the one to get inspiration and tips in growing a company and getting it to its full potential.
